Joseph H. Wilde was born 13 March 1865 to John and Elsa Maria Rabeck Wilde in Coalville, Summit County, Utah. He was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 25 September 1875. In 1891 he began a mission for the LDS Church in Wales. Following his return, Wilde worked for the Coalville Cooperative Mercantile Institution for 50 years and served on the Coalville City Council. He died 20 November 1942 in Coalville, Utah.
